NERD NITE EAST BAY #14: Fusion, Metrology, and Art History
Let's all be thankful for the last Nerd Nite East bay of 2013! As usual, we present you with three diverse talks: Rob Kolasinski will describe the largest and most promising international effort at producing fusion energy (I would have a joke about fusion always being the energy of the future, but that joke is over thirty years old). Anna Lieb will hopefully reveal that the reason my weight keeps increasing may be due to the shrinking kilogram. Finally, Donnelly Gillen will unlock some secrets of early surrealistic art.
DJ Citizen Zain and Rick and Rebecca will keep the turkeys at bay.
THE ITER PROJECT: SMASHING TOGETHER ATOMS TO CREATE FUSION ENERGY by Rob Kolasinski THE FICKLE KILOGRAM by Anna Lieb THE SCUOLA METAPHYSICA: FAR AHEAD OF ITS TIME? by Donnelly Gillen
