The 2009 Slow Food Portland Writer's Night
Come hear local and nationally known authors read and sample tastes of Maines soil and see. Featuring Russell Libby, Executive Director of the Maine Organic Farmers Growers Association and author of Balance, A Late Pastoral, a book of poems; Sam Hayward, chef/co-owner of Fore Street, and author of Island Sheep, an article for The Art of Eating; Nancy Carlisle, curator for Historic New England, and author of Americas Kitchens; and A nne Mendelson, author of Milk: The Surprising Story of Milk Through the Ages. Doors open at 6:00pm, readings start at 7:00pm, $25, $20 for Slow Food members, all ages
