Best of the Bluff, Year Two: Season Passes
Duquesne University presents Best of the Bluff, Year Two, the second of a two-year chamber music series. Since 2002, Artistic Director David Allen Wehr, Dean of the Mary Pappert School of Music and holder of the Jack W. Geltz Distinguished Piano Chair at Duquesne's Mary Pappert School of Music, has built each season around a specific composer or national style. In 2018, Bluff audiences were presented with a list of the hundreds of musical works performed on the series and asked to vote for their favorites. The results formed the foundation of Best of the Bluff, bringing back many of the audience's most loved pieces and performers, along with some surprises. As always, the faculty of the Mary Pappert School of Music form the nucleus of the artistic corps, with many members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and international guest artists. As these concerts have become increasingly popular, be sure to purchase your season subscription early so as not to be disappointed when the "Sold Out" sign goes up!
