Pacific Voices Seasons Ever Turning
The popular Pacific Voices choir presents their 20th Annual Winter concert "Seasons Ever Turning" Saturday, December 21, at 7:00 PM, at Peace United Church of Christ (formerly First Congregational Church), 900 High Street in Santa Cruz. Under the leadership of conductor Dr. Sean Boulware and held on the Winter Solstice, this musical offering celebrates the ever evolving seasons of our lives.
Performing pieces in a variety of styles--from the Brazilian jazz of Ivan Lins and Vitor Martins' Lua Soberana (created for the Monterey Jazz Festival Summer Camp Choir) to the joyful Mary Had A Baby arranged by Philip Kern to Bobby McFerrin's exquisite vocal version of The 23rd Psalm to the peace-invoking I Dreamed of Rain by Jan Garrett--this community choir of more than sixty singers celebrates with their audiences the sheer joy and enduring power of singing.
This concert marks the beginning of the celebration of Pacific Voices' 20th Anniversary. We will be holding a celebratory reception immediately following the concert. Please join us as we celebrate our amazing history.
