A Childs Christmas in Wales
End your day at Cobden's Christmas in The Village with "A Child's Christmas in Wales" , a short story by Dylan Thomas, performed by Cobden resident Kevin Purcell Saturday December 7 at 6pm at The Old Feed Store.
Purcell has performed this story annually for the past 35 years in theaters across the US. His performance has also aired on NPR. The story is a magical tale of the author's childhood holidays in a seaside Welsh town. This performance is directed SIU Professor Emeritus Marion Kleinau. Music is by Jeff and Teresa Davidsmeyer of Jacksonville.
