Independent Opera Company presents reopening Gala 2021!

Independent Opera Company is thrilled to invite both singer and audiences back for exciting and beautiful Gala!

After the season spent in Covid lockdown we are delighted to start our tenth season with Gala, presenting some of LA most talented singers, musicians and artists. The audience will be entertained by some of the IOC veterans as well as some new voices. Gala 2021 will be first production in Independent Opera Company tenth "Russian" season. Not surprisingly, some of the music performed at the Gala will be great Russian music! However you will also enjoy some Mozart, Musical theater, operetta and more!

IOCs upcoming 2021-2022 Season marks our 10th season, and we will celebrate by reminiscing about beautiful moments from our past, and also look forward to new adventures.

The program will have three sections: Russian, Mozart and Musical Theater/Operetta. The program will include excerpts from our productions of Die Fledermaus, Silva, Don Giovanni, Marriage of Figaro, Aleko, Queen of Spades, The Merry Widow and A Little Night Music. We will also be looking toward the future by including some "teasers" from our upcoming productions. And there will be some all-time favorites that are guaranteed to transport and excite you!

The singers and musicians include Brooke Iva Lohman, Alexis Wesley, Jamie Sanderson, Ken Simms, Mariana Ramirez, Aaron Ball, Daniel Brennan and Michelle Matsumune. Galina Barskaya will lead the evening from the piano. The Stage Director for the evening will be Liza Barskaya.
