Strange Storytelling Hour - Strangetown [Online]

This event was held in-person on July 15th at Volition Brewing, in North Bend, WA as part of North Bend Film Festival. NBFF virtual passholders will gain access to a recording of the live event, which will screen virtually via NWFF.

The live recording will be shown starting Friday, July 16 at 12pm PT.

In this beloved festival event, emerging storytellers recount peculiar tales and bizarre happenings based on their own real-life experiences. This years theme: Strangetown. Whether you hail from them or simply passed through, many have felt the warmth, mystery, and familiarity of a bizarre small town. Join our storytellers as they share tales and whispers from the hamlets that haunt their memories.

Something strange is back in this multi-episode live event series presented by North Bend Film Fest and Northwest Film Forum, where emerging storytellers recount peculiar tales and bizarre happenings based on their own real life experiences. Each episode features a strange new theme, challenging storytellers to win over the audience with their storytelling skills.

This virtual event series is be hosted by Seattle-based storyteller, comedian and weirdo Emmett Montgomery  NBCs Last Comic Standing, Seattle Weeklys Best Comedian 2015, 2017, 2018 and host and curator of the community based comedy show Joketellers Union (with Brett Hamil) and the experimental basement/storytelling show The Magic Hat.
