Lovelight Orlando is a one day yoga music festival to be held at Guruv Yoga Center in Orlando on Jan 19th.

International recording artists the Mayapuris and Kirtan Troubadour Wynne Paris will headline the musical lineup.
Tymi Howard, owner of Guruv Yoga, will present Vinyasa flow classes and Danielle Cosgrove will present a drum and dance class. Laughter Yoga with Dana Kaplan, Nada Yoga with Fred Cantor. a special restorative class with live music will be presented by MyLinda Morales.

WYNNE PARIS is a World Beat producer and Kirtan artist who has been at the forefront of the Yoga Music Genre for almost 20 years. Wynne left a successful rock and roll career to embrace yoga music after he 'jammed' with the hugging Saint Amma in 1995. In 1996, Wynne was invited to perform with HH the Dalai Lama in Washington DC's Constitution Hall. Since then he has toured and recorded with many of the Yoga's best loved artists. He recorded several CD's with the grandfather of American Kirtan, Krishna Das, contributing sarod, guitar and saz on the genre defining CD " Pilgrim Heart". Wynne has also recorded and performed with many other great kirtan artists, including Bhagavan Das, Dave Stringer, Guru Ganesha Singh, Girish, David Newman, etc.
In addition to supporting other Kirtan ( call and response chanting ) artists and keeping a busy tour schedule, Wynne has recorded 3 CD's of his own. His style of kirtan brings Americana and rock and roll into the mix, and his cd's have been graced by a number of legendary mainstream musicians -Rick Allen (Def Leppard), Badal Roy (Miles Davis), JT Thomas & Doug Derryberry (B Hornsby band), Mark Karan ( Ratdog) and Tony Levin ( Peter Gabriel, King Crimson ).
Wynne's favorite instrument is the Sarod the lovechild of a sitar and a banjo. He has been a student of this complex instrument for 15 years and is only now starting to sound 'pretty good'. When Wynne is not busy playing kirtan or recording, he spends his time working in Washington DC, doing development for Bonobo ape conservation and working with Peter Gabriel on the Interspecies Internet a new project dedicated to communication between species ( imagine and elephant jamming with an ape . )

Visvambhar ' Vish' Sheth is the leader of the internationally acclaimed Mayapuris,a headlining Kirtan group that has rocked the stages of Kirtan celebrations from India to Florida, Australia to South America. Starting at the age of 5, Vish has spent his life leading Kirtans in the ISKON ( Vaishnava ) tradition,. A master of the Mridangam drum and performs in traditional as well as fusion styles, Vish started performing in the modern yoga studio culture in 2009, and since then he has performed at countless studio gatherings and well known spiritual venues like Bhakti Fest and Omega institute. In addition to being a master percussionist, Vish also sings and plays harmomium and Bansuri ( bamboo flute ). Vish is an in-demand sideman as well, and has toured with Kirtan pioneer Jai Uttal. Don't miss this great performer who not only has mastered his instruments but has the rare capacity to invoke the 'rasa' of the essence of the transcendental energies that define the Kirtan path.
FRED CANTOR has played and recorded with a wide range of artists and released several albums of original music. Fred spent almost thirty years studying Indian philosophy and music with South Indian guru Nitya Chaitanya Yati. Fred has enjoyed a long career as a musician, producer, teacher and songwriter. He has played and recorded with a wide range of artists and released several albums of original music.In addition to his musical endeavors, Fred spent almost thirty years studying Indian philosophy and music under the guidance of the highly respected South Indian guru Nitya Chaitanya Yati, both in the US and India. Since moving to Central Florida, He continues his studies in naada yoga with the acclaimed Indian musician Pdt. Nandkishor Muley. Fred has performed live at many yoga studios, kirtans and festivals playing with artists including Girish, Wynne Paris, Nandkishor Muley, Shyam Das and others. His recently released a CD of yoga music, "Gathering", has been postively received in yoga communities all over the world.

DANA ALBERT KAPLAN , RYT, CLYL
Dana has been singing and laughing since she can remember, and practicing yoga fornot quite as long as that, but for a good 15 years. While completing her Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in 2009 with Edely Wallace, she was introduced to Laughter Yoga. Upon experiencing the sheer joy of deliberately laughing for no reason at all, she knew she wanted to become a Certified Laugher Yoga Leader to share this practice with others. Dana's first love is singing. It is her purest form of self-expression and healing. While she thoroughly enjoys performing in a Klezmer Band and in "The Smooth Vocal Duo of Diane & Dana", she has found a new home over the last several years singing Kirtan, primarily with Wynne Paris. Kirtan unifies her deepest passions togetherconnecting to the divine within, connecting with others, & expressing and sharing joy. This is yoga! Dana currently teaches Hatha Yoga and Laughter Yoga regularly at Harmony Yoga Studio and at The Jewish Community Center, both in Maitland, FL. JAI MICHAEL BARRY LMT is a new face on the kirtan scene, but as an award-winning singer/songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, he is no stranger to the acoustic folk circuit. Sound current (naad) is his passion. He believes that through chanting, breath, and harmonics, the body/mind/spirit can be healed. At his wellness center in Casselberry, FL. he hosts "2nd Saturdays Kirtan", a monthly open event where everyone is invited to bring a drum or other instrument and 'Get Your Chant-On!' He also shares a monthly Full Moon sound-healing meditation using crystal bowls, gongs, chimes, and bells. Jai was an integral part of the inaugural 'Orlando Kirtan Festival' ( the precursor to LoveLight Orlando) , performing double duty as an artist and a soundman. DAS is a multi-dimensional Time Traveler, Permanent Pilgrim, and Conscious Yogi from many previous lifetimes. In his current incarnation Just Visiting This Planet he is a composer of Yoga Meditation Music since 1973, a manufacturer of bamboo meditation flutes, a Kirtan performer and recording artist with 108 CD releases, as well as a cosmic poet and spiritual rap artist. He has resided as a sadhu in the primitive villages of holy shrines in rural India for many years, learning 5 languages in order to have direct access to the ancient wisdom of Yoga and Vedic culture. RAYANANDA and the Wandering Sadhus have led devotional kirtan chanting for the past 4 years at yoga studios, churches, and spiritual centers along Florida's
east coast from Vero Beach to St. Augustine. They accompany the chants with harmonium, shruti, percussion, guitar, and bass guitar.Rayananda and Vicki, the band leaders, have been Bhakti Yoga practitioners for many years. They were introduced to kirtan through the holy bhajans of Amma, the Hugging Saint. Moved by the tenderness and nectar-sweet moods created by chanting the holy Name and realizing the power of mantras to purify and heal, they have embraced kirtan as their primary spiritual practice.The band's musical influences include Bhagavan Das, Dave Stringer, and the 60's-era chanting of poet Allen Ginsberg.
