Event
A Night in St. Petersburg - Concert
This is the fourth in our line of evenings dedicated to music. As these events have grown in popularity we are excited to offer an evening of music inspired by a place most of us associate with winter and snow: St. Petersburg. There will be Russian music of course, but we are also including works by other eastern European regions. Our own Arthur Kostuk with present a piano transcription of Modest Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition" as well as a selection from Sergei Rachmaninoff . Our director of Music, Heather Ward, will be presenting music of the region in song. For a more complete program see our website after the holidays.
As usual, the evening will be set in the cozy atmosphere at Harrison St. in South Lake Union. The doors to our cafe and wine bar are not likely to be open to the public by the time of this concert, but they will be open for this event at 8:30, with the concert starting at 9. We will of course have period desserts.
These concerts are uniquely intimate settings to experience classical and "traditional" music. Please bring your friends who appreciate this kind of music or especially those you think might if they had a chance to experience it in such and intimate and friendly environment.
