FEATURED ARTISTS: Pepper Proud
http://pepperproud.com/
From the heart of Greenbrier Valley and those Eastern Appalachian Rolling Hills, Pepper Proud was raised surrounded by a thriving arts community in Lewisburg, West Virginia. In 2007, Pepper headed as far west as her truck would take her and settled in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Humbled by the mountains and somber skies of Seattle she now spends most of her time writing new songs, singing loudly to the people at the markets and serenading the local bars, cafes and pubs.
Pepper's first full length album "Riddles & Rhymes" was released regionally in November 2012, and nationally in March of 2013. The album portrays life as a journey, filled with interesting characters, relationships, spontaneous creativity and patient effort. Her message is simple it's time to share the love. love. love. She recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund her 2nd album, "The Water Chapter", due out in 2014.

Whitney Mongé http://whitneymonge.com/ Originally from Spokane, WA, singer-songwriter, Whitney Mongé moved to the Seattle area in 2008 to pursue her career in music. She began her journey busking in the Pike Place Market, which has since led to several opportunities such as live performances on ESPN's "Mayne Event", The Bob Rivers Show, KSER, KYRS and an artist spotlight on the local PBS television station KTCS 9, that aired on May 30th, 2013 on the PIE series. Mongé's 2011 debut album, Heartbeat, snowballed into such a success that seven months later she recorded her EP Steadfast produced by Grammy Award Winner, Pete Stewart. Her raspy, sultry vocals and deep, introspective lyrics are highly reminiscent of Melissa Etheridge and Tracy Chapman. Currently, Mongé plans to release her single "Gracefully" in fall 2013 and announce West Coast Tour dates by winter 2013.
