French Academie of Ballet 2014 Spring Semester Audition
The French Academie of Ballet has limited space available for our 2014 Spring semester. Admission into the French Academie of Ballet's year-round program is by audition only. Auditions will take place in our year-round classes from January 7 - January 11, 2014.
Dancers must be 13 years and older. Girls should have at least 2 years of pointe experience.
Choice of audition times are as follows:
13 -15 year olds
Tuesday, January 7th 4:00pm
Wednesday, January 8th 6:00pm
Friday, January 10th 5:30pm
Ages 16 and older
Wednesday, January 8th 4:00pm
Thursday, January 9th 4:00pm
Friday, January 10th 4:00pm
Saturday, January 11th 1:00pm
Audition Fee: $40
Audition Fee is non-refundable.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The French Academie of Ballet's 2014 Spring semester begins on February 3, 2014. All of our year-round classes take place at Dance Art New York (DANY) studios located at 305 West 38th Street (corner of 8th Avenue). Our year-round classes take place in the afternoon (no earlier than 4:00pm on the weekdays) so our students can attend traditional academic schools.
The French Academie of Ballet's summer program's curriculum is based on the French School of classical ballet. Our program is one that stresses precision in technique and elegance in artistry. Dancers are placed in a level based on their technical ability and not by age. Class sizes are limited and every dancer is given the necessary attention and support to enable them to realize their full potential as a dancer.
