You've dreamed of finding the time to write on a regular basis or to finish an essay, a webisode, a sketch or a short story. You can do it, and this class will help you! Writer of a thousand talents, DC Pierson will help you explore a smorgasbord of literary genres and discover what floats your boat. Through fun in-class exercises, you'll generate a ton of pages and learn DC's secrets for crafting likeable characters, putting an imaginative spin on true tales, amplifying the humor in your writing, and building a satisfying story. By the end of class, you'll have finished a short piece and have found your true calling on the page. Emmy, Pulitzer, or Oscar sold separately. Experienced and beginning writers welcome.

About DC Pierson:
DC Pierson is an American comedian, author, and actor. His first novel, The Boy Who Couldn't Sleep And Never Had To (Vintage Contemporary) won an Alex Award for adult books with special appeal for teen readers from the American Library Association. His second book, Crap Kingdom was published this March by Viking. He's one-fifth of DERRICK, a sketch comedy group whose videos have been seen over 250 million times on YouTube. He co-wrote and co-starred in DERRICK's feature film,"Mystery Team" that premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival, released theatrically by Roadside Attractions, and is available on DVD from Lionsgate. He has appeared on TV shows such as "Community" and "Weeds", various commercials, movies both short and long. He is a member of The Upright Citizens Brigade's legendary Wednesday Night Brew Crew. He publishes short stories, poems, and un-asked-for opinions on his website, www.dcpierson.com.
