The Chicago Ultimate Frisbee Tournament
The Chicago Ultimate Frisbee Facebook group alongside the environmental non-profit sustainable landscaping initiative Midwest Grows Green invites you to the Chicago area's only recreational ultimate tournament this year from September 18-19, 2021. Here are the details:
-We reserved four fields at the Ned Brown Meadow in Busse Woods, Rolling Meadows. -Games start 9 am and run until 5 pm each day. -7 v 7, Coed -8-16 teams, 10 people minimum to team, Hat Tournament. -World cup format, 3 games each day, Group stage on September 18, knock-out tournament on September 19. -Games to 15, hard-cap at one hour and 15 minutes. -Players will be asked to bring both a white and black shirt for teams. NO GREYS! -Registration is $30 per person, which guarantees six games, water and snacks. -Smoothies from Stonyfield Organic, meat sticks from Big Fork Brands, organic produce from Fruitful Yield Schaumburg and water from Culligan. -Craft non-alcoholic beers from Athletic Brewing Company -Beer from Piece Brewery. -Lunch will be provided both days to those that pay an extra $20 fee. -Plan is for this to be a zero-waste event thanks to compostable plates, cups and silverware donations from Eco-Products. -All proceeds go to Midwest Grows Green that helps parks across the Chicago area and the Midwest eliminate synthetic pesticide and fertilizer use. -Planning for a TBA after-party in Chicago on September 18. -Those vaccinated for Covid-19 can play and interact with others without masks. Non-vaccinated players must wear masks at all times. -Each player from the winning team will receive a $25 gift card for VII Apparel and a $20 gift card to Play it Again Sports in Schaumburg. -Final game MVPs and best defensive players will win ultimate apparel from Agile Gear. -Any questions can be directed towards Ryan Anderson from Midwest Grows Green at randerson@ipminstitute.org. -Other sponsors includes Northwestern Mutual, Ravi and Monica Singhvi, Alexis Zimmer - State Farm, Keller Williams Realty, Meet Chicago Northwest Pizzeria Serio and Paul Shandling, Attorney, Heartland Beverage.
