ABOUT THE SHOW: For the fourth year, Frank is bringing back David Sedaris' NPR holiday classic, returning to Hennepin Avenue where we first presented this delightful antidote to too much holiday spirit. Based on his experience as a seasonal employee in Macy's "SantaLand," Sedaris' "Crumpet" shares his delightfully tart observations of what lurks behind all that holiday glee. Join us for 70 minutes of outrageous fun!
"There is no room for equivocation: the funniest show on offer this holiday season is the Frank Theatre's The Santaland Diaries." Metro Magazine
"If you're looking for holiday entertainment that's more tart than treacly, more snarky than sweet, prepare to make merry at Frank Theatre's "The Santaland Diaries"This lively production, under the direction of Wendy Knox, has a wonderfully cartoon-like look, complete with Steve Rohde's recreation of Santaland and Kathy Kohl's gaudy elf costume, including curly-toed shoes. ..Joe Leary does a stellar job with the variety of characters that inhabit this play, embodying some particularly amusing Santas, over-wrought parents and freakish coworkers."
