Heat Lightning
Heat Lightning is the premiere performance of Contretemps Contemporary Ballet, Chicagos first explicitly body diverse contemporary ballet company. Created by Artistic Director MaryAnn McGovern, Heat Lightning weaves together visual metaphors for a world whose fate hangs in the balance, demonstrating the sensations that arise when we reflect on living in post-truth America. A dance within an installation, Heat Lightning will be performed outdoors in the parking lot of the Drucker Center in Lincoln Park.
