"Six Feet" Screening at Marina Theatre
Since the onset of 2020, there has been a string of major events happening one after another that has heavily impacted society. A global pandemic called COVID-19 has swept the world and left hundreds of thousands dead and billions in fear for their safety. This virus has made people question their own morality and vulnerability while strengthening an understanding of how valuable human lives are. Coronavirus does not discriminate its victims on social status - whether we are poor or rich and old or young. Not only is it affecting the physical and the mental wellbeing of people, but it is casting catastrophic effects on the global economy. The devasting side effects include millions that were left jobless and unable to provide for their families. This has forced some people to become slaves to capitalism and causing a spillover effect onto societal movements. This film we are producing portrays what humans are capable of when they become desperate in the face of adversity and the lengths that they are willing to go to. The statement we want to make is that despite the importance we, as a society, place on money and status, the most important values to uphold in life is our integrity, character, and family.
