Freehold's Winter Acting Class Samples - STAGE COMBAT and PLAYWRITING FREE Event Sample our Stage Combat and Playwriting Classes!
We are excited to share with you our Stage Combat class sample and Playwriting class sample on Saturday, December 7th.
Since 1991, Freehold has been a center for the practice of theatre. We are privileged to have exceptional faculty teaching here. All Freehold faculty are working professional actors, playwrights and directors whose credentials include recognized work on and off Broadway, in major motion pictures, on television, and in regional and international theatre venues.
Freehold offers an extraordinary range of acting classes year round and our Winter Quarter classes will open for registration on November 18th with classes beginning in January, 2014. 5% Early bird discount applies if you register by December 2nd for a class.

More about our Stage Combat and Playwriting Instructors:
Geof Alm is a certified fight director and teacher for the Society of American Fight Directors. He has worked at Seattle Repertory Theatre, Intiman Theatre, Seattle Children's Theatre, A Contemporary Theatre, Seattle Opera, Seattle Shakespeare Company, The Group Theatre, Arizona Theatre Company, The Huntington Theatre Company, and Missoula Children's Theatre. Geof teaches all over the Northwest, in Boston, Montana, and Louisiana, and in the University of Washington's Professional Actor Training Program.
Elizabeth Heffron is a Seattle playwright. Her play Bo-Nita, a 2013 Edgerton New Play Award winner, is receiving its world premiere at the Seattle Repertory Theater through November 17, and will be produced in February 2014 at Portland Center Stage. Her most recent work, Portugal, about a nuclear accident at the Hanford Reservation, was featured as part of the 2013 Hedgebrook Women Playwrights Festival in May 2013. Her play, The Weatherman Project (co-written with Kit Bakke), was selected for the Seattle Repertory Theatre's inaugural New Play Festival in February 2013 and the Hollins Playwrights Festival in Roanoke, Virginia this past July. As a Seattle playwright, she has written locally for 14/48:The World's Quickest Theater Festival, Annex Theatre, One Reel Productions, and New City Theatre, among others.
