Benefit for Freehold's Engaged Theatre Residencies
Please join us at our benefit for Freehold's Engaged Theatre Residencies including our residencies at Washington Corrections Center for Women (WCCW) and Monroe Corrections Center (MCC). Monday, December 2, 2013 West of Lenin 203 N 36th St., 98103 $10 Tickets available through this site and we will also be taking tickets at the door. Doors open at 6:30, join us for a glass of wine Program will begin at 7:30 and run until 8:30
We will share some video footage from last year's residency performances, at Monroe captured by the Seattle Times reporter Bettina Hansen, and at WCCW captured by director Ward Serrill. Following the video we will share some original writing and introduce you to a panel of our teaching artists, for a short discussion moderated by Program Director Robin Lynn Smith.
If you have not had an opportunity to join us for a performance at the prisons, this is your chance to learn more about these special performances and hear from participating artists - why this work is so important to them - and why they keep returning to the program year after year. Tickets $10
