Scrooge, The Musical
Arlington Children's Theatre presents "Scrooge". The musical closely follows the plot of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, in which the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge undergoes a profound experience of redemption over the course of a Christmas Eve night, after being visited by the ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas past, present and future.
Autism-Friendly Performance Saturday, December 14th at Noon:
Arlington Children's Theatre is excited to offer a special "Autism-Friendly" performance of Scrooge! The Musical, adapted specifically for children with autism or other sensory-related developmental disabilities, and their families. At these performances, the theater environment will be slightly altered, providing a safe, sensory-friendly and accessible theater experience for those on the autism spectrum. Adjustments to the production include maintaining a comfortable sound level, the elimination of loud and sudden noises and flashing lights, as well as keeping the house lights on, but dimmed throughout the performance. Our goal is to create a comfortable and judgment-free space that is welcoming for these families. Autism-Friendly Performances are recommended for those families bringing a loved one with a developmental disability, and their teachers and advocates who are familiar with, and accepting of, behaviors exhibited by some individuals with autism.
