Her Crooked Heart
Everwood Farmstead Foundation continues its 9th season of the Artist Series with Her Crooked Heart on Saturday, September 11th!
Minneapolis-based Her Crooked Heart was conceived of and is led by Rachel Ries. She has enlisted a powerful group of women to join her; women who can in their own way, take on the feminist, humanist mantle of the band and make it their own - Siri Undlin (Humbird), Adelyn Strei (Adro), Hilary James (We are the Willows, Bathtub Cig). The quartet blends classical and electric guitar; piano and vintage synths; cello, woodwinds and drum triggers. This merging of acoustic and synthetic sounds is all in service of the voice: four part vocal harmonies that shift from ethereal to an elemental wail, but always tell a story of transformation.
Everwood's Pay-What-You-Can ticket price is simple - choose your ticket price from the list above. One-half of your ticket price will be provided to the artists and the other half will be distributed through Everwood's Aspiring Artists Fund. The Fund provides grants to arts-focused teachers in Barron, Dunn, Pepin, Pierce, Polk and St. Croix counties for projects that spark wonder and talent in their young, aspiring artists. Everwood reveals a recipient(s) at each performance. Since 2012, Everwood has donated almost $33,000 to local school programs.
Given the CDC's updated guidance, Everwood will require all to wear a face mask in the barn (with the exception of the performers) and outhouse regardless of vaccination status.
No refunds.
