Dream Cities is a thought-provoking field guide to our modern world. Graham dives into seminal urban landscapes and explores the original practices that shape cities around the world, from Dubai to Ulan Bator to London.
Speaker: Author of Dream Cities: Seven Urban Ideas That Shape the World, Wade Graham, earned a Ph.D in American history from UCLA and has taught at the School of Public Policy at Pepperdine University since 2009. Today, he is a writer, historian, and landscape designer with a practice in Los Angeles. His writing explores cultural history,urbanism, and environment, and is featured in Los Angeles Times, the New York, and Harpers. Other books by Graham include Braided Waters: Environment and Society in Molokai, Hawaii and American Eden: From Monticello to Central Park to Our Backyard, What Our Gardens Tell Us About Ourselves.
