Acme Theatre Company presents "The K of D"
this is the thing about legends. if you tell 'em right, they can keep a person breathing.
Part urban legend, part dark comedy, Laura Schellhardt's The K of D is set in a small town in Ohio during one hot, sticky summer as a pack of teenagers try to make sense of a local boy's death. The truth, they find, is that 12-year-old Jamie was hit by a car and gave his twin sister Charlotte a kiss before dying in her arms. The growing legend is that everything Charlotte kisses from that moment forward also dies. The K of D slips between the psychological and the supernatural to explore grief, revenge, and the healing power of storytelling.
