Join us for the most inspiring event of the year, combining performance and the roots of MIami's diverse cultures to to find common solutions around addressing one of the most challenging issues of our times--climate change.
Explore with us the emotional response to climate in one of the U.S.'s most climate-vulnerable states, while seeing how Germany has negotiated multicultural action on climate change in the EU, through performance, discussion, and joint action. From ""emotional security"" to ""financial security"", meet with diverse leaders from the Miamicommunity to see how we are consistently coping with climate change impacts and the innovative approaches, and resources needed, to face unique decision-making challenges and opportunities.Celebrate the local initiatives from Miami communities, government, companies, and more, while looking at how we ensure our personal security in the face of uncertainty. The Transatlantic Climate Bridge Program of the German government, which aims to support platforms and partnerships that help Americans and Germans exchange their know-how and to pave the way for joint solutions.
In 2013-2014 the Human Impacts Institute is partnering with theTransatlantic Climate Bridge Program of Germany to explore how we can make climate change personal to our communities and re-communicate climate issues to the American public in creative and engaging ways through our "Creative Climate" Human Impacts Salons series. Working with local partners in eight U.S. cities and in Berlin, this year-long tour bring together creative visionaries with community leaders, environmental experts, and activists in a salon-style event of performance and in-depth discussion to highlight local action, resources, and solutions to addressing one of the most pressing issues of our times--climate change.Learn more>>
