Disposable

How can we, by using our bodies and physicality, address and subvert the stereotypes attached to the female body by our Western Society? How can we, through movement, challenge the patriarchal heteronormative narrative on female pleasure and sexuality? Joséphine Auffray and Sara Maurizi investigate these questions by using the imagery of cooking tutorials and recipes, in particular those regarding the process of deboning and stuffing turkey, as a metaphor of objectification and stereotypical representation of female bodies within the patriarchal society.

Wie können wir durch den Einsatz unseres Körpers und unserer Körperlichkeit die Stereotypen, die unsere westliche Gesellschaft dem weiblichen Körper zuschreibt, ansprechen und unterlaufen? Wie können wir durch Bewegung die patriarchale heteronormative Erzählung über weibliche Lust und Sexualität herausfordern? Joséphine Auffray und Sara Maurizi wollen diesen Fragen nachgehen, indem sie die Bildsprache von Kochanleitungen und Rezepten, insbesondere die des Ausbeinens und Füllens von Truthahn, als Metapher für die Objektivierung und stereotype Darstellung weiblicher Körper verwenden.
