Lauren Winner Lecture Series

Lauren F. Winner will give a series of presentations on "Mudhouse Sabbath", examining and practicing resources in the Christian tradition for living in time, and doing this well, and for dwelling authentically with God, neighbor and our true selves. On Friday evening,February 7th, Lauren Winner will give a talk on "Inhabiting Time from 7 - 8:30 pm. On Saturday, February 8th, Dr. Winner will give a series of presentations from 10 am to 3 pm on "From Weekend to Sabbath."

Lauren Winner is the author of numerous books, including "Girl Meets God" and "Mudhouse Sabbath." She has appeared on PBS's Religion & Ethics, Newsweekly and has written for The New York Times Book Review, The Washington Post Book World, Publishers Weekly, Books and Culture, and Christianity Today. Winner has degrees from Duke, Columbia, and Cambridge universities, and holds a Ph.D. in history. The former book editor for Beliefnet, Lauren teaches at Duke Divinity School, and lives in Durham, North Carolina.
