American River Folk Society Benefit Concert with Keith Greeninger, Keith Little, Johnny Mojo, and Paul Kamm
What happens when you put the traveled voice and mind of the incredible topical folk singer Keith Greeninger, with the banjo driven bluegrass country high lonesome voice of legendary Keith Little, with the psychedelic rocking guitar and vocal acrobatics of the always great Johnny Mojo, with the solid rhythm, gentle lyrics and fine harmonies of Paul Kamm?  You get Grittle Mojamm in a once in a lifetime concert of fine solos, incredible jams and musical magic.  Earlier this year the two Keith's played together for the first time at the Gold Trail Grange.  The sold-out crowd was dazed and amazed by the blending of two musical styles by these amazing musicians.  At festivals this summer and in venues around northern California, Johnny and Paul continue to gain new fans who are amazed with the sound of their band, Achilles Wheel.  Now for the first and maybe only time, these four musical magicians will spin a unique weave blending their different styles, sounds, and harmonies in a way you won't hear again.  As one local put it, "If I missed this one I'd have to kick myself real hard".  You can hear their music at www.keithgreeninger.com, www.keithlittle.com, and www.achilleswheel.com, but you can only hear them together at this concert.

This is a benefit concert for the ARFS and its many programs to bring folk culture to the Sierra Nevada Gold Country.  In addition to overseeing the operation of our wonderful community radio station KFOK LPFM (95.1 on the dial and streaming at www.kfok.org) ARFS provides funding for visiting artists and special projects in the Black Oak Mine School District, sponsors concerts on the Georgetown Divide, and puts on workshops in music and storytelling.  All proceeds from the concert will go to the ARFS which is a partner of the Georgetown Divide Recreation District.

The Marshall Grange is located at 4940 Marshall Road, in Garden Valley.  Driving directions may be found at www.marshallgrange.org.
