Counterfeit products, from fashion goods to medical products, are a significant threat to brand owners and their intellectual property rights across the globe. Proper anticounterfeiting measures can help prevent and eliminate counterfeiting as well as protect those brands and their goodwill. Learn more about anticounterfeiting from various INTA attorneys and professionals from across the U.S. as they provide insight into anticounterfeiting, working with law enforcement, online counterfeiting, and raising awareness.
Speaker Bios:
Maysa Razavi is the Head of Anticounterfeiting for INTA. She leads INTA's anticounterfeiting work and policies worldwide across all industries.
Heather McDonald is Of Counsel at Baker Hostetler in New York City, NY and been involved in anticounterfeiting and other intellectual property enforcement litigations since the start of her career. She has coordinated a nationwide network of investigators, attorneys and government agencies on both the federal and state levels pursuing individuals and entities trafficking in counterfeit goods.
Tara Steketee is the Director of Global Product Integrity, Global Security for Merck & Co., Inc. in West Point, PA who specializes in pharmaceutical anti-counterfeiting matters. She fights global supply chain threats with intelligence-led investigations and is frequently called upon as a subject matter expert on counterfeit pharmaceuticals.
Kristina Schrader is a Partner and the Anticounterfeiting Team Leader at Adam and Reese LLP in Nashville, TN where she crafts modern brand and content protection strategies for a wide range of multinational businesses. She also previously served as an executive at the International Anticounterfeiting Coalition where she executed strategic brand and content protection initiatives on behalf of hundreds of rights-holders.
Jillian Burstein is an Associate at Reed Smith in Chicago, IL. She focuses her practice on intellectual property and complex commercial litigation and represents clients in a variety of areas, including false advertising, unfair competition, trademarks, patents, copyrights, trade secrets, complex contract issues, products liability, and franchising.
