RMPJC 30th Anniversary Peacemaker Awards Celebration
A celebration of RMPJC's thirty years of organizing for justice, peace and sustainability. Paying tribute to a few of the folks so important to our work: Jon Lipsky, former FBI Agent who led the raid which resulted in the shutting down of production of nuclear triggers at Rocky Flats; former State Legislator Wes McKinley, who served as Foreman of the Grand Jury that investigated Rocky Flats, and a surprise most worthy award recipient whose identity you will learn at the event.
Nancy Sullo and Tom Moore will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award for other many years of activism on many fronts, including Central America, the many U.S. military involvelments across the globe, Left Hand Book Store in Boulder as well as the RMPJC.
An award will also be presented to New Era Colorado for their creative and strategic grassroots organizing of young people, effectively engaging them in the electoral process and social, environmental and economic issues on the local level and beyond.
We will share camaraderie, a vegan dinner prepared by Boulder Food Rescue, and music by Rachel Lipsky and the RMPJC Solidarity Singers. Conscious shopping at our silent auction. Hearing about RMPJC's current work, and becoming inspired to help the work continue for another 30+ years!
