Snap on 2&4 w/ Roland Barber

Join us on Friday, November 22 at 8pm as trombonist Roland Barber brings an exciting latin-jazz show to the NJW Cave!

Centered around the theme, "Recuerdos y Promisas" (Keepsakes and Promises), Roland will lead the audience on an exotic tour that draws from his experience in Latin Music and Culture creating soundscapes that fuse soulful, expressive improvisations with the rich tapestry and danceability of Latin rhythms! Roland has performed with a host of Latin Jazz and Salsa Legends, including Jimmy Bosch, the Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Manny Oquendo y Libre, Ray Vierra, and Andy Gonzales to name a few.

The band for this performance will include Kelli Cox (piano), Lindsey Miller (guitar), Jon Estes (bass), Dann Sherrill (percussion), Giovanni Rodriguez (percussion), and Yamil Conga (percussion). Stay tuned for further details!

The band will play two sets, beginning at 8pm. Doors open at 7:15.

Admission is $20 / $10 high school and college students with ID. Tickets will go on sale Monday, November 11 at 10AM and will be available online on this page, by phone 24/7 at Brown Paper Tickets (800-838-3006) or during business hours at the NJW office (242-5299). A small convenience charge is added to online or 800-number purchases.

Policies: The Jazz Cave is a BYOB establishment, with no alcohol or food service. You are free to bring alcoholic beverages and snacks. We sell soft drinks and bottled water. The Jazz Cave is a listening room, and we ask patrons to keep conversation to a minimum and silence cell phones. Audio and video recording is prohibited.
