Brave New Play Rites Full Production - lavender.grid.stop
For 35 years, Brave New Play Rites has been staging new short plays by emerging playwrights studying in the Creative Writing Program at UBC. This year, to follow health and safety mandates from the BC government due to Covid-19, we have moved our entire festival online. Ten full productions of short plays have been filmed, each one to be released daily from April 17th, for you to enjoy from the safety of your own home!
Our eighth short play is - "lavender.grid.stop" by Renae Mae Miller.
lavender.grid.stop is a surreal two-hander about a man waiting for a bus who cant seem to take his eyes off a woman drawing with lavender chalk in the middle of the road.
lavender.grid.stop is directed by Laura Reynolds and features the performances of Teddy Ngkaion as B, and CK Kaur as S
