Brave New Play Rites Full Production - Leap

For 35 years, Brave New Play Rites has been staging new short plays by emerging playwrights studying in the Creative Writing Program at UBC. This year, to follow health and safety mandates from the BC government due to Covid-19, we have moved our entire festival online. Ten full productions of short plays have been filmed, each one to be released daily from April 17th, for you to enjoy from the safety of your own home!

Our seventh short play is - "Leap" by Anjali Jay.

Leap is a drama following Noa, a dancer desperate to forge her way in life as she battles her own demons in order to find success.

Leap is directed by Victor Dolhai and features the performances of Helena Chen as Marnie, and Cindy Xu as Noa
