EPAD Platform - Wednesday 28 April
EPAD Platform is our online initiative that gives Edinburgh's professional independent performing arts practitioners a place to share their work with peers from the city's performing arts community. It will take place on Zoom.
The next EPAD Platform will take place on Wednesday 28 April 2021 from 1.00 to 2.30pm.
Last year, Creative Producer Morvern Cunningham produced the manifesto You'll Have Had Your City? Building Edinburgh Back Better Post-Pandemic, in response to the impact of Covid-19 on the cultural infrastructure of the city. As a follow-up, Morvern has recently launched Edinburgh Reimagined: The Future Will Be Localised with the support of a Momentum micro-grant from Festivals Edinburgh.
Morvern will use the April Platform event to explore the content of their latest piece and, alongside PhD Researcher Vikki Jones from Edinburgh College of Art, will gather attendees responses to the ideas discussed. Participatory activities will be used to record feedback, ideas and proposals which will inform Morvern and Vikki's plans to facilitate further citywide public events to address better ways of working in the future.
Attendees will be sent digital copies of both Morvern's manifestos ahead of the event.
We also ask that attendees consider how they might answer the following question in advance of taking part. We will share and discuss responses during breakout sessions on the day:
What one change would you make to improve the cultural sector in Edinburgh?
