Songwriter Circle: Cal Scott and Richard Moore with special guest Paul Chasman
Songwriter Circle: Cal Scott and Richard Moore with special guest Paul Chasman
Monday, December 2, 7:00pm O'Connor's Vault 7850 S.W. Capitol Hwy
Veteran Portland singer-songwriters Cal Scott (Trail Band, Kevin Burke) and Richard Moore (The Wombats) welcome "One Man Guitar Festival" Paul Chasman to their bimonthly circle at O'Connor's Vault in Multnomah Village. Tickets are $12 in advance from brownpapertickets.com or $15 at the door. Seating is very limited and the last two shows sold out, so jump on it soon.
In spring of 2011, Paul Chasman released his CD celebrating 50 years of guitar playing, "One Man Guitar Festival." Shortly after the CD release, Paul needed to have surgery on his left hand (because of 50 years of guitar playing!). In October 2011, while recovering from surgery and barely able to hold a "G" chord, Paul wrote a song. Then he wrote another. Then he couldn't stop! Now Paul has been reincarnated as a singer/songwriter. In his debut vocal album Paul sings songs about life, love, dogs, cats, and Muhammad Ali, along with his trademark "Pissy Songs." And for fans of Paul's guitar playing, not to worry. There's still plenty of guitar. Harmonica too.
The regulars will be Cal Scott, jack-of-many-genres who writes and performs with The Trail Band and Kevin Burke, and the word-witty and tunewise Richard Moore, likely to share a few scenes from "Rain," his musical-in-the-works about Portland.
Tickets are $12 in advance from brownpapertickets.com or $15 at the door.
