Adoption of the New Cal Green Code and Its Architectural Impact
Adoption of the New Cal Green Code and Its Architectural Impact 2.5 HSW
Presented by: Dr. Saum K. Nour, PE, Ph.D., CIPE, CFPE, LEED AP, PE Civil, PE Electrical, PE Mechanical
The New Cal Green Code is no longer for brand new construction. Like ADA a minimum standard construction will trigger the code. In addition, regardless of the minimum level of construction, certain components are mandatory in some jurisdictions. The architectural details and notes now must be very secure. Lack of such data will cause major legal issues to the architect, especially with general contractors' need for record keeping of construction materials.
Learning Objectives:
-Fast Review of the new code guidelines
-Review of important components of the code and essentials
-Areas of intensive coordination with design and construction team.
-Record keeping and analyzing the specific city requirements, creating a green Catalogue.
