Beyond Prison Walls

Playwrights Project partners with San Diego State University for our 9th season of collaboration. Featured scripts were written by participants in our Out of the Yard programs at Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility, Centinela State Prison, Male Community Reentry Program, and our Returned Writers Circle.
Each performance is unique and features 2-3 short plays performed by San Diego State University Theatre students, and followed by a conversation with the returned writers.

Friday, April 23rd features: Pathetic and Wonderful Life by Ruben Radillo Above All by Jamel Burt Remnants by Earl Young My Kitchen Table by Isabella Quevedo
Saturday, April 24th features: No Place Like Home written and performed by Tony Curtis Toilet Paper Aint Free written and performed by Melvin Price Arts in Corrections Conversation with Alumni, emceed by Wayne Cook
