ACTING UP PRODUCTIONS PROUDLY PRESENTS
"Where are you Christmas? A Cabaret"
Acting Up Productions (AUP) will present "Where are you Christmas? A Cabaret" on November 22, 23, 29, 30, December 1, 6, 7, 8, 2013 at the Creative Arts and Event Center in Greenfield.
Most families around this time of year get together to decorate, celebrate, and eat. This show opens with a big family decorating for Christmas and two children who don't really understand what all the fuss is about. Using popular holiday favorites mixed with new, lesser-known, and original songs, this show promises an evening of laughter and music that will touch your heart. Featured songs include "We Need a Little Christmas", "O Holy Night", "Let There Be Peace on Earth", "Mister Santa" and even a Gilbert and Sullivan parody.
This cabaret was created and written by AUP owners R. Brian Noffke and Elizabeth Williams. Roger Smith arranged the music and serves as music director. The cast includes AUP alumni Katie Rae, Liz Porter, John Hayes, Denise Fort, Debbi Sponsler and Angelina Hofmann. AUP newcomers include Lisa Davis, Nathan Jones, Cathy Tolzmann, and Christian Jones. Noffke is directing and Linda Rees of Dance Magic Performing Arts Center is choreographing.
"Where are you Christmas? A Cabaret" will be presented Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m., November 22-December 8 at the Creative Arts and Event Center, 2 West Main Street, Greenfield. Tickets are $12 Reserved or $10 for Seniors/Students with ID and $15/$12 at the door. Intermission includes a holiday treat provided by the Creative Arts and Event Center.
