Collage with Alcohol Inks Papers

In this mixed media class with guest instructor Tina Mokuau, you will enjoy learning various techniques.

First we will create alcohol ink papers to use in our collage - She will show students all of the basics of using alcoholink to create colorful papers to collage with. Second, we will paint a 9x12 wood substrate.Next we will cut and glue our collage using the alcoholink papers along with various other papers, and other fun ephemera provided. Please feel free to bring anything you'd like to include.

Various finishing options will be discussed including spray laquer and resin to complete the project after the project has had a chance to cure.

COVID-19 Safety protocol: For the safety of teachers as well as students, we will be requiring anyone in the studio taking classes or shopping, to wear masks and keep their hands clean. Students can go outside to take breaks and get fresh air during class, but must be masked at all times inside the studio. If you anticipate this being too cumbersome please wait to register for a class at a later date when these restrictions are lifted. Classes will be limited to six students as we ease into reopening. Studio and common tools will be sanitized after each workshop.
