Tajci - A Christmas Concert Experience
CHRISTMAS IN AMERICA: A Miraculous Gift to Immigrants
"I am telling the story of our longing to believe, waiting, then awakening to and celebrating the joy of the Christmas season. In Croatia, I spent years of my childhood dreaming of American-style Christmas, filled with faith, joy and love while living in the gloomy government housing in Croatia. Now that I live in America with my husband and our three sons, I too experience the consumerism that sometimes seem to overshadow the true meaning of this beautiful holiday. I'm offering this concert as a chance to slow down and enjoy each moment of the season."
Releases from Tajci's new pop album Awaken deal with the search for a deeply connected and purposeful life, is perfect for Advent. Musically, Tajči draws from an almost unbelievable range of influences from around the globe and across the centuries of human history. Tajči's "Christmas Concert Experience" takes her audience on a musical sleigh ride that conjures images that vary from a vast gothic cathedral for a Gregorian chant, to a trip to the local mall where a young woman searches for the true spirit of Christmas among the chores of the busy season.
Tajci's "Christmas Concert Experience" has been seen around the world on television. Now, audiences will be able to see her perform in person.
"This is the one event you will need to attend this Holiday Season, as Tajci's powerful music and narrative will change the way you appreciate America's favorite holiday," says Bill Vrbanac, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and one of the organizers of the concert. "She draws in you a wish to experience Christmas for the first time, with the awe, wonder and longing for miracles. She can really perform and her voice blows you away." Brian Kravec, columnist at CatholicMom.com writes about Tajci's music, "Across this great country and around the world, Tajci always makes an indelible impression as her music and inspirational performance bridge the human heart with the Heart of God."
Tajci grew up in communism, became a superstar at the age of 19, left it all behind to find herself and her purpose in America. For the past 13 years, she has been traveling throughout the United States performing motivational concerts with her husband and producer, Matthew, their three sons and top musicians.
