Created in 2005 and named in honor of Center founder Bill Grace, this award celebrates Puget Sound leaders whose vision, commitment and unceasing efforts are significantly advancing social, environmental, and economic justice. The Center is particularly interested in bringing attention to those who recognize the importance of collective work and who are often out of the traditional spotlight.
The Center for Ethical Leadership is a nonprofit organization that develops leadership for the common good. Founded in 1991, the Center began by supporting individuals in identifying and living their core values in all aspects of their lives. The new expression that builds on this deep connection to values is the development of collective leadership. This type of leadership mobilizes collective spirit and wisdom into collective action. Through collective leadership, individuals and groups learn together to be at their best in service to the common good.
