Event
Rouge
Friends and lovers of Methow Arts are invited to a spirited evening of French music, stilt dancing, waltzing and excellent food on Friday, January 23 at 5:30pm at the Winthrop Barn. The focus of the evening will be to have a rollicking good time while raising funds to support local Methow Arts programs and arts education in Okanogan region schools.
The evening begins with cocktails, French inspired small bites created by the Arrowleaf Bistro, and stilt dancing by an elegant, graceful giraffe. Information about Methow Arts programs and an un-Auction will provide an opportunity for supporters to help procure the stuff that really counts: art programs for our schools and community, accessible by all.
At seven oclock the romantic music of Rouge, (think Edith Piaf & Pink Martini) a French group known for their playful, joyous energy, will commence. These passionate, virtuosic musicians infuse classic and original chansons and musettes with a fresh sound, evoking France's cobblestone streets for a modern ear.
After a short sit down concert, members of the band will offer dancing music and waltzing-lessons into the night. Think Paris: Dress to the nines, eat delectable food, dance into the night.. and support your local arts agency.
