Event
Copenhagen by Michael Frayn
Science brought two men together; politics divides them. German nuclear physicist Werner Heisenberg visits his former mentor, scientist Niels Bohr, in Nazi-occupied Copenhagen and they engage in a secret conversation or quarrel. Michael Frayn re-imagines that mysterious meeting in Copenhagen, and leaves us to ponder how one can stay true to science, family and friends, ones country and ones God when at the forefront of discovery.
For this production Shakespeares Associates welcomes guest director Virginia Reed who directed Proof last year.
