Western Washington Habitat Stewards Training
The National Wildlife Federation is offering a specialized, multi-week online training to teach you how to help others create and restore wildlife habitat in backyards, schoolyards, and other private and public areas. You get to meet and interact with local conservation professionals and other similarly interested folks while participating in this engaging, fun and highly informative online program!
Benefits include: a comprehensive, digital training manual with local resources; instruction from local professionals; and continued support from NWF staff.
Expert speakers will present on topics such as:
-Gardening for wildlife -Improving soil quality -Managing noxious weeds -Habitat restoration -Mushrooms and fungi -Pollinators -And much more!
Classes will take place March 9th, 11th, 16th, and 18th from 6:00 - 9:00 pm via a free video conference platform.
*Scholarships are available! No one will be turned down due to lack of funds. Email WAEducation@nwf.org for more information.

***As part of the training, volunteers commit to completing 30 hours of habitat-related volunteer service within 1 year following graduation from the program.
