Why: MUSICA Entertainment and Columbia City Theater are proud to present an event that provides our communities with the opportunity to spend time with their children in a safe, comfortable, and fun learning environment.
MUSICA Entertainment, LLC is committed to the outcomes of increased awareness of the importance of early learning, parental involvement, school readiness and the acknowledgement and use of community services available in support of those initiatives.
MUSICA Entertainment takes a proactive approach to creating awareness of early education amongst youth!
Musica Entertainment, in cooperation with the Pulse Project and the Columbia City Theatre, will be producing a student made film which will document all events surrounding the Holiday Kids Fair and chronicle the students (ages 14 - 19) experiences as they begin to understand what early learning is while filming the Holiday Kids Fair. This innovative educational DVD will intertwine the youths experiences garnered about early education while filming the project, and highlight the Holiday Kids Fair as it happens. We'll be filming the youth filmmakers! The completed DVD of BOTH stories will be made available to child care organizations, schools, libraries, early learning stakeholders as well as the public at large.
The youth filmmakers will interview vendors, parents, performers, kids and guest speakers at the Holiday Kids Fair. Prior to the event, the student filmmakers will interview child development and education experts, researchers and administrators. These interviews will be broadcast during the "Live" webcast of the Holiday Kids Fair and incorporated into the final DVD project.
* Participating vendors in Columbia City will also have pamphlets on school readiness, early education and parenting.
The Holiday Kids Fair will be webcast "live" locally, nationally and internationally. We encourage those vested in early learning to organize watching parties.
