EPAD Platform - Wednesday 27 January 2021
EPAD Platform is our online initiative that gives Edinburgh's professional independent performing arts practitioners a place to share their work with peers from the city's performing arts community. It will take place on Zoom.
The next EPAD Platform will take place on Wednesday 27 January 2021 from 1.00 to 2.30pm.
We will have two 30 minute presentations by two Edinburgh artists and companies.
Lubna Kerr, comedian, actor and writer, will introduce her idea for a new play she is researching. She would like to get feedback from attendees and explore how to encourage people to share their stories to inform the script.
Atopon Collective, designer Anna Edovina, visual artist Lera Grant and performing artist Natalya McDonald, will deliver a presentation that discusses the concept of locality. Where are we local? is the title of the TED speech by writer Taiye Selasi who did her research into a modern understanding of identity. This theme resonates with the collective personally and has become a potent stimulus for their future performance.
There will be time for questions and feedback after both presentations.
