Great Decisions 2013 - Part 2
The Great Decisions course encourages debate and discussion of the important global issues of our time, using study materials from the Foreign Policy Association (independent and non-partisan) to help reach informed opinions.
This is a very participatory class: each week a class participant(s) will lead the class in a discussion of the selected topic from the Briefing Book. The Great Decisions course for 2013 selected 4 of the topics from the Great Decisions Briefing Book. The participants of this course, Great Decisions 2013-14, will select four topics from among the remaining 2013 topics and the Great Decisions Briefing Book for 2014.
The first session of this course will be led by Cal Poly Professor Manzar Foroohar. The subject of this class will be Iran.
To fully participate in this course, each participant must obtain their own Great Decisions 2013 and 2014 Briefing Books from the Foreign Policy Association. Each book costs $20, plus shipping, at the Foreign Policy Association website. The Foreign Policy Association seems to ship very quickly, but it would be a good idea to order the book(s) as soon as you register for the course.
Note: If you took the first Great Decisions course offered by LLCC in 2013, you should already have the 2013 Briefing Book. If you have already purchased this book, it is not necessary to obtain another copy.
While Great Decisions 2013 Part II may be viewed as a continuation of Great Decisions 2013 Part I, it is an independent course. Whether or not you attended Great Decisions 2013 Part I, you must register in order to be enrolled in Part II.
Registering for this course by buying a ticket will admit you to all four sessions of this course:

Thursday, February 20 1:30pm - 3:30pm
Paul Greiling is the Treasurer of LLCC and has helped Florence Jones (who has left the area) run Great Decisions for the last several years.
