FFIM presents Waypoints, The Movie
The introduction of YouTube and the GoPro digital camera have brought about thousands of new flyfishing videos. However, professional equipment does not automatically equal professional films and unfortunately both avid anglers and avid video junkies are forced to wade through some serous junk before they find something worth their time. Thankfully, the team over at Confluence Films has another flyfishing DVD for your acclaimed collection, Waypoints!
Following the success of Drift, Rise, and Connect comes the forth, most exotic project from Confluence yet, Waypoints. This new film transports the viewer to some of the most remote locations in the world. From the high altitude rivers of the India Nepal border, to the flats of St. Brandon's Atoll in the Indian Ocean. The high definition photographs of accomplished cinematographer Chris Patterson capture the world of flyfishing in a whole new way.
The film is aimed at showing all viewers from hardcore, 300-day-a-year guides, to people who've never picked up a fly rod that flyfishing is a much deeper, more interesting, more varied, and a more fulfilling sport than they've been led to believe by mainstream media. Waypoints highlights some of the sport's most colorful characters and destinations, capturing these stories on location with the best shooters in the business using the best modern HD digital equipment.
The difference is in the details, and the partners of Confluence Films have at least 40 years of experience each in their respective roles for Waypointswriting, directing, filming, editing, producing, planning travel and arranging logistics. They have each run their own successful businesses and know the importance of details in putting together a great final product. Getting even farther off the grid, finding the most remote places and most interesting people.
Waypoints combines all the necessary elements a flyfishing film needs to be successful; great people, great locations, and great production value. Waypoints has quickly shaped up to be one of the best multi-destination flyfishing movies ever made. We trust that both viewers and sponsors will be more than happy with our latest film, Waypoints.
