i was really, very hungry and egg present The Southern Korean Table
A Classic Korean meal with Inflections of the American South
Thursday, November 7, 7:30 PM egg 135 N 5th St (between Berry & Bedford) Brooklyn, NY 11211
The Southern Korean Table is a glimpse into the joys of a Korean meal. Chefs Mike Ciardi and Amy Stonionis (of i was really, very hungry) lend their own influence and taste while drawing on the Southern upbringing of egg's George Weld to create inspired renditions of ban chan (small side dishes), main dishes, jigaes (hot pot soups) and more.
This dinner will be served family-style. Ticket includes soju and other Korean beverages.
i was really, very hungry is a supper club based out of Brooklyn and Queens. Inspired by M.F.K. Fisher's essay by the same name, the club is a group of food-adoring friends: Michael Ciardi, Sandy Ho, Alan Kwon, Yuri Kwon, Tatiana Orlov and Amy Stonionis.
