Who ya gonna call...back? Genus Theatre celebrates their ten-year anniversary with the announcement of their latest production, a wildly inventive tribute to the beloved 1984 film.
Waiting for Ghostbusters in set in a rehearsal hall that was once the heart of the Playhouse Theatre Company. There, a small group of theatre artists with more determination than dollars set out to stage a faithful musical recreation of the acclaimed 1984 film. Quickly conflict and tensions rise as the struggling company faces sabotage, a clash of wills, legal realities and a haunting of their own. By opening night the company will either stage a rocking, 1980s infused extravaganza in the best of off-off-off-Broadway tradition, or it may finally be curtains for everyone involved.
