"A Little Old in the New" -- Second Fall Wine Dinner
The people have spoken!
"We want local wine!" they said.
"Not only do we want to eat locally, we want to drink locally!" they clamored.
Well, if the people want wine, I say give them wine. Good wine! Great wine! Balanced and fresh with good structure, acidity and real character brought on from the land!
For our next wine dinner we will focus on producers from the West Coast. They will, of course, embrace the tenants of classic winemaking putting them squarely in the same circles as many of the European producers on our list. Since these new world producers do what they do with a heavy nod to the old world, we are calling this next series of dinners "A Little Old in the New."
The format will be much the same as our previous dinners. Small plates that compliment bright wines to wake up the palate, followed by a mid course of fresh pasta, a secondo that will feature local and seasonal protein and a dessert fit to satisfy even the biggest of eyes, while never being too sweet.
Five courses with wine pairings will be $90, before tax and gratuity.
