"Se Safando" is a story of love, migration and heartbreak. Weaving the lives of 5 different people together, the film creates a rich tapestry set against the stunning city of Salvador, Bahia, in Brazil. Luana is a young pregnant Bahiana abandoned by her boyfriend Roberval, who fears the responsibilities of fatherhood and is lost in a world of grafitti and girl chasing. She sets out searching for him much to the dismay of her family and in the process begins to wonder about her own relationship with her absent father. She confides her worries to her friend Priya, a carioca vacationing in Bahia, who in turn falls in love with Jose, Luana's cousin. Roberval evades Luana and spends his time with a new girlfriend from Spain, and tries to find validation in his friend Rafael's life style. 1SESEGTaganyahu Swaby_Miralva Melo Swaby in Se Safando BWcredit Joshua Bee AlafiaRafael is a young Jamaican living in Bahia, who spends his time playing capoeira and playing women in order to forget about his homeland, until he is injured.
